StudentCo Pet Sitter Profile

If you like this profile, remember the name "Anize D" and simply click here to tell us more about your pets and when you will need a sitter. StudentCo will let you know if this pet sitter is available (if not, you will be introduced to another, equally awesome, team member).

The next step is the meet-and-greet. This is an informal meeting at your home so you (and your pets!) can get to know a potential sitter. You are invited to discuss your needs and expectations openly, and then decide whether you would like to proceed with a booking. The meet-and-greet is 100% cost and obligation-free and will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Experience with animals and own pets

Hello, my name is Anize.

This year I will be starting my Veterinary Nursing degree at Onderstepoort. I always aspired to become a vet, until I started working with them. It was then that I realised my true passion lies with caring for the animals, rather than operating on them. I now dream of going into animal therapy and rehabilitation, where TLC plays a huge role.

We have four dogs - a Pomeranian, two Jack Russells, and an odd tempered black Spaniel. It is quite a weird bunch, but my family and I adore and love them all. I also have a few fish, with which I spend way more time than I would like to admit.

A few years back, I started looking after the pets of people in my church. I gained tremendous experience with all sorts of animals along the way, including lizards, snakes, horses, fish, Marmoset monkeys, cats, spiders, hedgehogs, bunnies and dogs of all sizes, but mostly, I learned what was expected of me as a pet sitter.

Anize is the daughter of our minister. She often looked after our three dogs and two cats when we went on holiday. She would play with them, in addition to feeding them and cleaning up after the cats. Often we would come home and she would have bought a new toy for them.

She even once bought extra food because we didn’t realise we were running low. Out pets adored having her look after them and it made it easier to leave them behind when we went away.

She is a lovely lovely individual and we highly recommend her!
