The next step is the meet-and-greet. This is an informal meeting at your home so you (and your pets!) can get to know a potential sitter. You are invited to discuss your needs and expectations openly, and then decide whether you would like to proceed with a booking. The meet-and-greet is 100% cost and obligation-free and will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Experience with animals and own pets
My connection to my dogs is incredibly strong. Growing up, my family has always had Rottweilers, but when I was ten years old I was allowed to pick the first puppy that would officially be mine. I picked a Bull terrier puppy who was only three days old when I first saw her. I named her Buttercup but she was registered by the breeder as Exterminator the Third because he was not going to have his reputation ruined by a puppy named Buttercup.
Buttercup was my best friend for nine years before she was afflicted with skin cancer earlier this year. The immense stress from making the decision to have her put down was so great that it caused me to develop allergies to cow's milk and peanuts.
The same year I got Buttercup was the year I started horse riding lessons. I joined pony club for a brief period and I exercised a horse, Lady Ringo, for the riding school for a year before I moved to a new school in Johannesburg.
Between pony club and Lady Ringo I learnt and completed courses on horse care, I can groom a horse, check its vitals (including temperature which is not easy when a horse kicks), change bedding, clean equipment and care for a horse with colic, (a common cause of death in horses), until a vet arrives to treat it. I have even taught some horses tricks such as going down on the bit and doing a flying change.
