StudentCo Pet Sitter Profile

If you like this profile, remember the name "Dylan W" and simply click here to tell us more about your pets and when you will need a sitter. StudentCo will let you know if this pet sitter is available (if not, you will be introduced to another, equally awesome, team member).

The next step is the meet-and-greet. This is an informal meeting at your home so you (and your pets!) can get to know a potential sitter. You are invited to discuss your needs and expectations openly, and then decide whether you would like to proceed with a booking. The meet-and-greet is 100% cost and obligation-free and will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Experience with animals and own pets

I don’t ever remember a time when I didn’t have pets growing up. I only ever had dogs, but we had tons of fun playing together in the different houses I grew up in. I have had many dogs of all different breeds and natures over my lifetime and I have cherished each one.

My current pets are four Boerboels named Jess, Max, Teddy and Willow. Jess and Max are both from previous homes with horrible living conditions, and we were lucky enough to be able to give them a new start and a happy home to live in. Jess was very aggressive to begin with, and would growl at and try to attack most people, but for some reason she did not have a problem with me.

Teddy and Willow are one of four puppies that Jess gave birth to, with Max as the father. It was an amazing experience watching them grow and finding the other two puppies their forever homes. Despite their size, these wonderful creatures love to play and are lap dogs and maybe even cats at heart, wanting to cuddle on your lap. Max even “purrs” when he gets chest rubs! All four dogs love cardboard boxes and any treats they can convince my mom to give them. They love lying by your feet and will sometimes try sneak onto the couch to cuddle with you, despite their enormous size!

I have been lucky enough to house-sit and pet-sit for a few amazing families with amazing pets, with dog breeds ranging from Jack Russels to Great Danes, and Labradors to Border Collies. I also got to look after a couple of cats, a few of them named Ben 10, Strawberry and Barbie, and I really treasured the amazing cuddles I got from Strawberry, and the love bites from Barbie and Ben 10. Although I do not have a lot of experience with cats, I have found a great love for them, especially after meeting my girlfriend’s cats Luna and Apollo, and helping look after them over the last 2 years. I particularly enjoy playing with them and giving them lots of cuddles.

I thoroughly enjoy looking after other people’s pets and homes, as I love spending time with animals, especially if it makes them feel more comfortable when their owners are away.
