StudentCo Pet Sitter Profile

If you like this profile, remember the name "Gustav G" and simply click here to tell us more about your pets and when you will need a sitter. StudentCo will let you know if this pet sitter is available (if not, you will be introduced to another, equally awesome, team member).

The next step is the meet-and-greet. This is an informal meeting at your home so you (and your pets!) can get to know a potential sitter. You are invited to discuss your needs and expectations openly, and then decide whether you would like to proceed with a booking. The meet-and-greet is 100% cost and obligation-free and will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Name of sitter: Gustav G

Area: Waterkloof (Pretoria East)

Note: Gustav happily looks after pets who are not in his immediate area - driving is not a problem.

Course of study: Industrial Engineering

Approved StudentCo pet sitter since: February 2019

Experience with animals and own pets

I have two adorable Schnauzers – 7-year-old Lolla and 8-year-old Blitz. I also have the smartest African Grey, Daisy, that loves to talk non-stop when she hears that I’m at home. These three are the most important beings in my life, next to my girlfriend. She is busy studying Veterinary Science so that has given me many opportunities to do community and voluntary work at the SPCA and other shelters.

I recently decided to improve the life of a new born puppy by means of adopting the little fury friend at Wollies shelter. Growing up in a house that loves animals so deeply means that I have always had a soft place in my heart for any animal.

I am a teacher at Afrikaans Hoër Seunskool, where Gustav was a learner for 5 years. He was in my class for three of those years where I got to know him very well as a disciplined, well mannered, bright and eager learner. He was also the Deputy head-boy of our school where his leadership characteristics were shown. I also became involved as his spiritual mentor and can vouch for his integrity and strong character.
