StudentCo Pet Sitter Profile

If you like this profile, remember the name "Kelsi C" and simply click here to tell us more about your pets and when you will need a sitter. StudentCo will let you know if this pet sitter is available (if not, you will be introduced to another, equally awesome, team member).

The next step is the meet-and-greet. This is an informal meeting at your home so you (and your pets!) can get to know a potential sitter. You are invited to discuss your needs and expectations openly, and then decide whether you would like to proceed with a booking. The meet-and-greet is 100% cost and obligation-free and will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Experience with animals and own pets

My family has owned dogs and cats since I was born. I was absolutely in love with my dog, a mini Dachshund named Frankie, who was my best friend from the day we adopted her. Unfortunately, when I was about 10, due to unforeseen circumstances she, along with our other dog, had to be taken to a new family, where I believe they are happy and loved to this day. After that event, I struggled to get along with the new pets that we eventually got, as I was scared the same thing would happen again.

About two years ago, I made a friend who had a Rottweiler named Blue and two Dachshunds named Tasha and Toto. This new fur family taught me how to love animals again and since then, I have never looked back. I have fallen madly in love with animals since then, to such an extent that I have adopted a vegan lifestyle.

I also do my bit with regards to volunteering. I love looking after animals and making their lives just that little bit better. For example, at the beginning of this year I brought in a cat named Chute (short for Parachute), who had jumped off a two-story building, where he had been stuck for several days. Although he suffered brain damage and other injuries, I nursed him back to health. He is unfortunately still brain damaged but is learning to walk, eat and meow.

I am extremely grateful for all the animals who have been a part of my life, and I don't know what I would do without them.

Additional notes:

Kelsi was friendly and responsible. Our flat was kept clean and we were appreciative of the daily updates and photos of our fur-babies while we were away. On an occasion where the key was not delivered to her on time but the cats needed to be fed, she went out of her way to get food and sat by our door pushing the food through the door for the cats.

What could have been a massive stress and disaster was averted by her and we were so appreciative. You can enjoy your trip away from home knowing she is taking care of your belongings and babies the way you would want them to be cared for.
