Experience with animals and own pets

Being a farm girl, born and raised, I absolutely love nature, and with that all animals. I was privileged to grow up in a family with a deep love for animals and I adore fur-babies of all sizes and shapes. I have loved taking care of animals since I was a toddler (one of my earliest memories is helping my mother rescue kittens during a storm)!

Lulu, our big and very excited Boerboel is both warrior and gentle lady, with a strange love for our cat, Tuisie (a free-spirit rescue that occasionally loves a good cuddle). The babies of the house are Tessa who is a 9-year-old princess and loves car-rides, and Bekkie, a 4-year-old Maltese who is very prim and proper and loves cuddles and kisses. There is nothing like the warm feeling you get when seeing Tuisie and Lulu sitting together in the sun (a very unlikely and unique pair), or the little prattle of feet when the babies run down the corridor when it’s time for a walk or a treat.

Growing up we’ve had cockatiel birds (specifically Piet who formed an integral part of 12 years of my childhood), hamsters, and goldfish. Looking back, I can confidently say that caring for all these different animals made a big contribution to the person that I am today.

I have always loved house-sitting for friends and family and find that every pet has their own personality and habits (which I love!). I would love the opportunity to get to know your fur-babies (and the not-so furry ones).

I was looking for someone reliable to look after my "KIDS" (yorkie's) and home when we went on holiday and I got Linda's number through a very good friend of mine, Linda always looks after her pets and home when they go away. Ever since the first time Linda looked after my home and "KIDS" I would not trust anyone else to look after my home and pets again. My yorkies love her and I now they are safe and my home and pets well looked after.
