StudentCo Pet Sitter Profile

If you like this profile, remember the name "Nele S" and simply click here to tell us more about your pets and when you will need a sitter. StudentCo will let you know if this pet sitter is available (if not, you will be introduced to another, equally awesome, team member).

The next step is the meet-and-greet. This is an informal meeting at your home so you (and your pets!) can get to know a potential sitter. You are invited to discuss your needs and expectations openly, and then decide whether you would like to proceed with a booking. The meet-and-greet is 100% cost and obligation-free and will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Experience with animals and own pets

I have always loved the company of animals and I very much enjoy getting to know their unique and quirky personalities. Our furry family just happens to be full of them and I love them all to bits. My fur kids currently consist of one dog, one cat and two guinea pigs.

My 14-year-old SPCA rescue cat, Rosie, is the great meowing conversationalist, crumb vacuum cleaner and ruler of our furry kingdom. Jisha, my Giant Schnauzer and Labrador cross, is 7 years old and still thinks she’s a puppy. She thoroughly enjoys bouncing and rolling around on our trampoline, going for long walks and chewing empty toilet rolls.

The most recent additions to the family are our two slightly chubby guinea pigs, Jack and Eddie, whom we adopted from another family in 2017. They spend their time munching away in their mini-hammocks (yes, they have hammocks) and squeaking soprano duets whenever they hear the fridge door open and close.

I have also looked after a friend’s cockatiel, Custard, and have some experience administering medicine and caring for sick pets, in particular cats, as one of our former cats always emerged from his cat fights with multiple boo-boo’s.

I see Nele as a gentle, quiet, conscientious person who is reliable and hardworking. She can be trusted to fulfill responsibilities given her. She is easy to get along with and has a patient way about her. She also has a love for animals.

I got to know her well as I taught her art for five or six years at school and could always count on her when extra things needed to be done. She did art for Matric. She displayed a great deal of capability in all that she tackled. She produced all her art tasks punctually and meticulously done.
