StudentCo Pet Sitter Profile

If you like this profile, remember the name "Vuyiswa T" and simply click here to tell us more about your pets and when you will need a sitter. StudentCo will let you know if this pet sitter is available (if not, you will be introduced to another, equally awesome, team member).

The next step is the meet-and-greet. This is an informal meeting at your home so you (and your pets!) can get to know a potential sitter. You are invited to discuss your needs and expectations openly, and then decide whether you would like to proceed with a booking. The meet-and-greet is 100% cost and obligation-free and will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Experience with animals and own pets

I grew up in a home with the saying that “A house is not a home without a dog”. I had my first puppy when I was six years old and I have not stopped loving and living with dogs since then. I currently have a little Jack Russell named Delilah. My childhood dog was a Maltese Poodle named Fluffy and when she passed away in 2016, I was absolutely devastated, so my parents decided to surprise me with a puppy.

I will never forget this day, because I got to the SPCA and they said to me “you can choose any one you want”, so I chose my baby, Delilah. I was so content. I love my dog so much and she is my everything. I believe in the work that the SPCA does and that is why I always adopt my puppies from there. I enjoy helping in their kennels and playing with the cute animals there.

Please describe how you know this person:

I was having a house party one night in 2015 to commemorate a friend, which had fireworks. By absolute coincidence, Vuyiswa was buying pet food at my corner store; one thing led to another and our conversation ultimately escalated to her taking my pets in for the night. From that moment she has been taking care of my pets (and plants) whenever I'm out of town.
